Administrative Assistant

Vermeer-Wisconsin, a family-owned Wisconsin business, has been providing Wisconsin and Upper Michigan businesses with premium Vermeer equipment and superior service in the field since 1961.  We have an opening for a full-time administrative/sales support role, based in our NEW Appleton facility.  This customer facing support role will be diverse, spanning support across all departments, and will require a welcoming, detail oriented, results driven individual.  

Primary Responsibilities:
• Greet retail customers and visitors, directing them to the appropriate department
• Answer phone calls politely and professionally, including call transfers and messaging
• Learn the phone system functionality to advanced level, allowing for support to the team
• Maintain supply inventories for the facility
• Provide administrative support to the regional, parts and service managers, and sales team
• Perform clerical, banking and bookkeeping tasks as directed
• Perform billing and other transactional tasks in the business system
• Perform administrative duties to the regional manager, including scheduling, travel needs , etc.
• Other duties as assigned
Successful applicant qualifications:
• Previous experience performing similar duties including data entry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with customer service as the primary measure of success
• Proven multitasker, organized, and detail oriented
• Able to problem solve, prioritize, work independently, and be flexible to change
• Mechanical knowledge of equipment including electrical and hydraulic systems a plus
• Possess intermediate skills and working knowledge of using Microsoft Office 365 suite, network environment, and CRM software 
• Physically able to lift to 30 lbs
