Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Analyst

Appvion is seeking a creative and self-driven individual to serve on the enterprise applications team for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (D365) platform. This position will participate in the administration, maintenance, and configuration of D365 during our implementation and provide post go live support and enhancements.


Expected Results:

The primary focus of the position is to support the implementation of D365 at our Appleton campus, with a strong emphasis on the supply chain area (production planning and scheduling, demand forecasting, MRP, work orders, transportation, and warehousing), as well as enterprise asset management.  This position will provide ongoing support, propose and implement enhancements, and be involved in the release/upgrade/implementation cycle.  We are seeking a candidate who has experience with D365 and a strong understanding of the business processes for the aforementioned areas.  Experience with Power BI, Docentric, SK Global A/P & A/R & Treasury tools, and Dynamics CRM would be a plus. We want someone who will involve stakeholders in seeking innovative ways to streamline work processes across the enterprise.


Supporting Activities:

  • Collaborate with business users to capture business requirements and propose creative solutions within D365 and implement process improvements utilizing tools available in D365. Setup and/or modify workflow processes to automate functionality within D365.

  • Participate and/or lead workflow and design reviews with stakeholders and provide productive feedback and solutions. Ensure solutions meet business requirements.

  • Configure and implement the tested D365 solutions that meet the business needs.

  • Develop and maintain documents and labels using Docentric.

  • Utilize Power BI to provide accurate and meaningful data to management.

  • Provide training sessions and support business users for creating their own reports and dashboards using Power BI.

  • Create Tips and Best Practices content for business users on the features and processes in D365.

  • Support of D365 report scheduling toolset.


Required Prior Accomplishments, Experience, Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline preferred.  Equivalent work experience with D365 will be considered in place of education.

  • 1-4 years experience supporting D365, as well as familiarity with D365 ISV’s; Power BI, Docentric, SK Global, as well as Dynamics CRM.

  • Familiarity with business processes within the supply chain area.

  • Familiarity with the following technologies is a plus, SQL, Data Migration Toolset, Interfaces, EDI.

  • An initiator, demonstrating ability to work independently and showing strength in a team environment.

  • Great attention to detail and an emphasis for quality/standards with ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and problem management skills.

  • Ability to provide functional support in a strong team environment.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
